We begin to swap our monsoon wear to jackets, scarves, and sweatshirts! With this, our skin routine also needs a change as it requires special care. This change will help us our skin remain healthy and not become dry and flaky.
Get ready for the colder climate with these few skin care tips mentioned below –
Exfoliation is necessary all year round but make it a point to exfoliate atleast three times a week. This is to eliminate the dry and flaky skin. Best exfoliating products are those that have either or atleast two of these ingredients – banana, sugar, oatmeal, and fruits.
Exfoliate & Moisturize Lips
We tend to always ignore our poor lips thinking it requires very less care. This tends to make our lips very dry and flaky in the autumn. Exfoliate it twice a week and apply a good lip balm which has SPF daily!
Liquid / Cream Based Makeup Products
Using powder based makeup like foundation, blush, eyeshadow will only call for flaky skin. Change these products to either cream based or liquid based. This will also help moisturizing skin.
Moisturizing Cream / Body Lotion
Invest in a good body lotion and moisturizing face cream. This will keep your skin supple, smooth and healthy throughout the season. Also a side note – buy a hand cream too as our hands do most of the labor work and we don’t maintain them as often.
Use ready-made or make masks at home made up of any of these natural ingredients – banana, chocolate, avocado, etc. for a hydrating skin. Add masks to your routine once a week.
